Businesses
One of the Objectives of the #PlasticFreeCoastlines initiative is to identify at least three single-use plastic items being used in local businesses and find suitable alternatives.
The Beach Guardian can help businesses in Padstow and the local area achieve this through their partnership with a company who provides those alternatives:
- Straws - Remove plastic straws and only give soy-lined paper straws if requested.
- Plastic Cutlery - Replace with wooden cutlery.
- Takeaway Packaging - Replace coffee cups, cold cups and burger boxes with plant based PLA packaging which is compostable and contains less embodied carbon than plastic.
- Businesses can switch from single use plastic products to compostable alternatives as well as promoting better ways to dispose of waste and avoid landfill NOW!
